I really like this Allulose. It is less sweet than any other sweeteners. I like the taste in coffee and tea. I have yet to bake with it but will do so using a bit more. No bitter or weird taste or aftertaste. And all that for 0 calories and a healthy sugar alternative. I will definitely keep using this Allulose. Also I had very quick delivery! Highly recommend ordering from TrulyMarket!

Pollastrini di Anzio is one of Italy’s oldest and most iconic sardine canning brands. Founded in 1889 by Salvatore Pollastrini in the seaside town of Anzio, south of Rome, the company now has over 137 years of history and remains family-owned, currently managed by descendants of the founder (including Andrea).
What makes Pollastrini especially unique is that it is widely recognized as “the only Italian brand still producing Mediterranean sardines.” Most other Italian brands have either stopped production or switched to fish sourced elsewhere. Pollastrini continues to use wild Mediterranean sardines (Sardina pilchardus), caught using the traditional lampare night-fishing method — fishermen use strong lights on dark nights to attract schools of fish before surrounding them with small purse-seine boats. The sardines are then carefully hand-selected, cleaned, and packed using traditional methods that preserve the authentic craftsmanship and flavor.
Among international canned seafood enthusiasts — including communities on Reddit, TasteAtlas, and specialty food blogs — Pollastrini is highly respected and often regarded as one of the finest representatives of Italian sardines. The fish are known for their delicate texture, firm meat, and rich flavor when paired with high-quality olive oil.
2025 Spicy Sardines Special Batch
The 2025 batch of Spicy Sardines in Olive Oil has one particularly interesting detail: the fish were caught off the coast of Croatia and canned locally there.
The reason is simple — freshness matters most. In 2025, sardine schools were mainly concentrated in the Adriatic Sea (which is part of the Mediterranean). Shipping the fish all the way back to Anzio, Italy for processing would have reduced freshness. By catching and canning them near the Croatian coast, the company was able to preserve better quality and flavor before exporting them internationally or sending them to Italy.
These are still wild Mediterranean sardines that meet Pollastrini’s usual standards; only the processing location changed in response to actual fishing conditions. Previous batches were mostly caught and processed closer to Italy.
The spicy version offers a moderate but lingering heat, balanced with red chili peppers and premium olive oil, making it a favorite among canned fish enthusiasts looking for a more flavorful “spicy edition.”

Order processing
We pack online orders at Truly Market — First Markham Place on business days. The shop is closed Saturday, so orders placed Friday evening or Saturday are packed on Sunday or Monday depending on timing. You will get an email when your order is on its way or ready for pickup.
Free shipping across Canada
We offer free shipping anywhere in Canada on orders of $150 CAD or more. The $150 is based on your order subtotal after discounts and before tax. When your order qualifies, shipping shows as $0 at checkout. GTA local delivery is also free on orders of $150 CAD or more (subtotal after discounts, before tax).
Canada-wide shipping
Orders under $150 ship anywhere in Canada for a flat $15 CAD. Orders typically arrive 3–9 business days after we pack them.
Frozen and refrigerated items
Frozen and refrigerated items are available for GTA local delivery or in-store pickup only; we can’t ship them by carrier. If your order includes a frozen or refrigerated item, the whole order will need to be delivered locally or picked up.
U.S. shipping
United States Shipping — Temporarily Paused

International shipping
Hong Kong and Macau: Flat rate $25 CAD, typically 5–10 business days after we pack the order. Complimentary free shipping applies on orders of $600 CAD or more (before tax) to Hong Kong and Macau.
Other international destinations: $30 CAD, typically 6–10 business days. Customs fees, duties, and import taxes are the customer’s responsibility. We do not ship to every country; unavailable destinations will not show a rate at checkout.
Estimated delivery times
- Pickup at the Markham shop: usually ready the next day we’re open. We will email you when it is ready; pick it up during store hours.
- GTA local delivery (free on orders of $150+): usually a few business days after packing. We will email you when it is out for delivery.
- Canada (free on orders of $150+, otherwise $15): 3–9 business days after packing.
- Hong Kong / Macau: 5–10 business days after packing.
- Other international (outside the U.S.): 6–10 business days after packing, plus any customs clearance. U.S. shipping is temporarily paused.
Times start when the order leaves the shop, not when you check out. Perishable and refrigerated items may be held so they travel on the next suitable day.
Tracking
When your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and carrier link when the carrier provides one. Local GTA deliveries and in-store pickup may not have a public tracking number; we will still email you when the order is packed or out for delivery. Check spam if you do not see it, or email us with your order number.
Delays and delivery issues
Weather, carrier volume, incorrect addresses, and customs can add time. If a package is marked delivered and you cannot find it, check with neighbours and your building, then contact us within 48 hours and we will open a carrier trace. We are not responsible for delays or fees once a parcel is with the carrier or in customs, but we will help you follow up.
If we packed the wrong item or something arrives damaged, photograph the parcel and email us. Food, supplements, and personal care that have been opened generally cannot go back; see our refund policy.
